The Tasmanian Song Company is a 25-strong community choir and a regular feature of the Arts Centre’s popular Friday Night Concert Series.
The Company invite you to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the venue and a great evening of Favourites, choral music covering a wide range from songs from the ‘Swing era’ to some ‘golden oldies with a twist’.
The choir will be under the baton of its new Musical Director Rachel Taylor, who, apart from being a very talented and versatile singer in her own right, is now broadening her skills and enjoying her role as M.D. with the Tasmanian Song Company. Rachel has been performing in Queensland for a number of years but has now returned to her home State to further her career.
Some of the great songs to be performed at Moonah will include Stormy Weather, Blue Skies, Dry Bones, Blow, Gabriel, Blow, The Shoop Shoop Song and a wonderful version of The Addams Family.
