After years of planning it’s hard to believe that the Junction 2010, Regional Arts Australia national conference is less than two weeks away.

The response from around Australia has been fantastic with delegates and presenters coming from every state and territory with a good selection of international visitors, many of whom are already in Launceston. It is particularly exciting to have speakers such as Robyn Archer, Marcus Westbury, Deborah Conway, Dr. Ernesto Sirolli, Francois Matarasso, Mark Pesce and Mike White all eager and ready to present.

I believe that Junction 2010 presents a fantastic opportunity for Tasmania to showcase the vibrancy of our artistic scene and an opportunity for us to reflect and re-imagine what the future of the arts sector can be. It truly will be fun!

If you haven’t registered for the conference as yet, I would urge you to do so as the discussions and sessions will be highly relevant to the type of work we all undertake. If you can’t make it to the full conference, day registrations are available which will provide a fantastic snapshot of the conference as a whole.

If you are registered I look forward to seeing you here and urge you to ensure that as many people as possible from your organisation attend and take-up this opportunity to make the most of this nationally significant event.
