Dr. Frank Nicklason, if I may respond on behalf of so many people that concur with your views on the insidious diseases suffered by the 2 forestry entities here in Tasmania?
Firstly each of these 2 entities realize they are rather on the nose and so empirically engaged in this the most putrescent of industries.

Hence we so often see the Gunns Ltd corporate bullying antics, such as the form employed by them to muzzle all negative forms of published material appearing in Tasmania’s major newspapers.

Then there are the litigations hurled upon all and sundry persons whom make serious calls upon their integrity and purposes.
Further to these simple illustrations, Forestry Tasmania had embarked on a propaganda style campaign to win the hearts and minds of the fence-sitters and the newly arrived, tourists etc, in the hope to establish themselves as everyone’s good mate.
This sleight of hand campaign was of course funded by the revenues of the ‘Government Business Enterprise’ of Forestry Tasmania, (so in plain words, from the supposed profits F/T claim to make in harvesting highly under-valued timber for the profitable benefit of the corporate entity of Gunns Ltd.
This then allows Gunns Ltd to make their much trumpeted profits, which you must understand, are on top of the many subsidies already tossed their way by both the Federal and State governments.
The greatest shame of all lays upon the media proprietors here in Tasmania, they that service the news and views in this State and are consequently networked to the mainland media entities, thus the combining of both television broadcasting and newspaper publications in what they choose to print or portray as opposed to the raw truthful facts.

There are a goodly number of prominent persons in this State that have hefty shareholdings in Gunns Ltd, this can also cause influence upon the ebbs and flows of Tasmania’s system of justice.

There could be persons whom may well want to dispute my contentions, that is their personal privelige to so do, provided they do so in honorable and honest disputation!
