Terania celebrations yesterday

Thought you might like these photographs from today’s celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Terania Creek Logging protest.

People gathered at The Channon markets to celebrate victory of the protest movement that ultimately halted the logging of Old Growth forests in Northern NSW and resulted in deeper awareness around the planet.

The final “silver bullet” in the campaign came after activists in the four week campaign spiked and chain-sawed saw logs that the contractors had left after a day in which they had felled over fifty trees.
