Attention please, only a little professional tree felling attention please:
The stump between the beauty and the beast is a classic example of “the proof is in the stump”.
Some, or most likely, most of you readers would focus on the two contrasting faces either side of the stump on this image, however, as an accident investigator in forestry operations, be it a fact, no matter where ever this photo was taken, be it in China, Korea, Japan, Russia or Tasmania, whoever fell that tree was a untrained or poorly trained and also poorly supervised tree faller. Just look at the wasteful size of that stump for starters, it’s far too high, considering that this sort of wasteful tree felling is happening right around the state since white settlement.
The scarf, front or ‘face’ of the stump indicates to yet another indicator of how “world class” or otherwise, how low this industry felling standard is in reality.
