Once again Gunns show their patronising and paternalistic arrogance to the public and businesses of Tasmania.

This literary tripe is like a Grade 3 or 4 class lesson - about taking an excursion to the Launceston Punch-bowl or gorge.

(It doesn’t) deal with the main issues in a responsible and accountable manner.  (They) should be sent to manage the car wash for the next 20 years.

What self serving delusional dribble.

A responsible document - directed at adults should have addressed the following:

1. Why Gunns walked from the RPDC
2. The extent of the native forests cleared to make way for those neat and pedestrian rows of single species trees.
3. The amount of agri poison used to kill all organic life in the cleared alotment
4. The extent of the total carbon emitted from fire clearing.
5. The extent of the total Gunns Group carbon emissions - including subcontractors
6. The estimated amount of road kill
7. The extent of ‘rare’ non eucalypt tree species ripped up discarded and burned
8. The average cost per pulped tree against average price sold
9. The register of promises made in the last 48 months and unkept - in particular on employment commitment
10. Why Gunns itself is not lobbying for the removal of Section 11 of the Pulp Mill Assessment Act.

ANY COMPANY as socially and corporately responsible as this ill conceived comic recommends would be SO EMBARRASSED by the PMAA it would be publicly lobbying for it to be removed.

And if they have mitigating strategies for any of the above - then they should explain those as well.

THAT is what the PR people SHOULD be working on. FIXING WHAT IS WRONG, not applying a glad-wrap thin layer of vanilla icing.

What an utter disgrace. An embarrassing little disgrace.

Somewhere right now there is a team sitting around a table with cafe latte and monte carlo biscuits telling each other what a great job they all did. These are they who have done all their primary, secondary and tertiary education at huge accumulated expense and time, to end up in a career pushing this crap out.

How offensive.

These wood-chippers are going so ‘green’ I’m expecting the board to start demonstrating at their own chip mills.

Looking at this, maybe they could do a similar job writing the Al Quaeda publicity brochure?
