I gave that sort of thing up on a single Celsius degree wet & wintry Melbourne late-July arvo in Fawkner Park (between Punt and St Kilda Roads) taking a well-known Grammar School’s Under 16D XVIII for training -  puffed after a series of sprints, I reckoned there must be schools worth working in which don’t have Under 16D XVIIIs needing training.

A job ad turned up next week, without having to state that girls don’t do training for Under 16D XVIIIs*.

(*In those days you could get teaching jobs simply by being able to teach.)

Great Work Linz, I envy you. Pace #2, you’re more likely to live long and wonderfully if you keep up this sort of caper.

So now for the new sobriquet, “Cyclone Cycling Lindsay Tuffin”? or alternatively, Lindsay “The Hurricane” Tuffin?
