The pulp mill - the way in which we are treating the world - these are old men’s ideas. We are creating dinosaurs in their image. We are fulfilling old men’s dreams, which have no longer have any relevance.
None of this would be possible without the potent portable power of petroleum and diesel, a commodity which will soon be in short supply anyway. The “noble woodsmen” who so stoutly defend their right to plunder the forests would be impotent without an abundance of the fossil sunshine that subsitutes for real muscle and toil these days.
