Tea

In fragile porcelain or glass encased
Embryo of tea unfurls
Ethereal aroma dances, curls
Is there any drink finer in all 3 worlds?
Oolong rose Kuan Yin
Divine Goddess emerges
Misty Beauty
In heavenly ribbons rising from the cup
In a flourish of complex fluid dynamics
Delicate, refined and elegant taste sensation
The perfect companion for contemplation -
No storm in this tea cup
Only the harmony of utopia
Resting serenely on a peaceful lagoon
From Lofty gardens
Sublime botanical perfection
Masters of taste have honed and refined
The breath of flowers weightless and formless dancing, twisting
The echo of an orchard, calling, calling
From jasmine with her flavour unsurpassed
To the smoky depths of Pu Er Cha
Layer upon layer of subtle tastes revealed, unmasked
Oh smell the history!
From Bhodidharma in Kanchipuram
To 1773 and everything that has happened in between
What has been created?
What has been destroyed?
How many lives have been touched by tea?
