Im not sure if anyone heard Garrett and others on the ABC Radio programs that featured reports on this.
They all sought to reassure everyone that the slicks would not get to the shore.
Ah. ‘guess that makes it better then.

That’s right, if it stays out of sight, it’s ok.
Regarding the illustration - the Rudd Labor Government actions towards doing anything about either oil disaster, whale (the illegal killing of) or crude (the illegal spilling of), is the same….nil, except to look the other way.
A friend I visited played a music video last night as we were chatting and one of the bands which came on was Midnight Oil. She said “would you prefer me to skip over it?” Inside I did, and outside I thought it wasn’t right for me to prevent her watching what was once a favourite and brilliant band which also constantly promoted morality and ethics, especially environmentally. We briefly reflected on how Garrett, knowing him as he is now, had lied to each and every one of the thousands of people in the crowd at that concert and so many others.
I went to the loo and came back to see she had fast forwarded it.
I can’t understand how Garrett can now live with himself. He must surely know what we now think of him.

Russell ! he surely must know what we think and christ only knows how his band members must feel
But, you know what ! he’s a bloody human being! arguably the most untrustworthy animal on the planet , besides that, he now has more interesting pursuits like, MONEY ! and power ! power , that those who put their trust in,thought he would exert for the betterment of all Australian’s,
Well! we got that wrong ,didn’t we ?
Bloody miserable excuse for a man ! Oh for more genteel days, AND PISTOLS AT DAWN !
