ROSEBERY residents who claim they have been poisoned by heavy metals have gained heavyweight support. After a 16-month battle, high-profile law firm Slater and Gordon is acting on behalf of the residents, the Tasmanian Health Department has re-opened an investigation into the public risks of contamination in the mining town and the zinc mine’s new Chinese owners have agreed to do testing. Yesterday public health director Roscoe Taylor, left,  announced that more investigations would be conducted into claims that heavy-metal poisoning could be making Rosebery residents sick.
