These emails are incredible!  But not at all surprising.  I was involved in the Porter case.  I gave evidence to the effect that the State management and regulatory system for plantations is actually threatening the health of people and the environment.  The risk assessments for spray drift were and continue to be ignored and arbitrary and very dangerous ‘buffers’ being set next to residents, water bodies and wildlife.

The Forest Practices Board came to the incredible conclusion that my evidence (as described above) only related to my personal experience in the North West and was not relevant to the Porter coupe nor any other.  What a load of rubbish!

The environmental holocaust would never have proceeded if the FPB, Ombudsman’s office, Government etc had an ounce of integrity.

Perhaps Premier Bartlett can look at the appointments to the FPB to ensure independence? Perhaps not….
