Tasmania has had a couple of stand out bullies-as-Premier and the scary thing is these guys either don’t listen to anyone except close, well-paid psychophants who tell them that their world is way they they wish it to be and/or they are seriously internally deluded.

Peter highlights the legacy of our Lennongrad emperor and lest we forget all the people who tried to speak truth to this shameless exercise of power we need to thank those who did resign on priciple; who crossed the floor and voted against his legislation; who abstained from voting; who asked the hard questions inside and outside the Parliament; who did the investigative journalism; the thousands who protested across Tasmania over & over & over again against his abuses.

And lest we forget those who went along with this Premier, time and time and time again…..the spin-machine Bacon-Lennon Labor created to feed ‘the chooks’ in the media; the compliant State Executive Service in the upper ranks of the Public Service; The Examiner newspaper, the Parliamentary Labor Party; the TCCI….always blaming someone else - the Greens, the environmentalists, those rich Sydney-siders - for all derision in the rotten-apple state.

And it all suddenly changes. Little wonder David Bartlett doesn’t want give any anti-corruption commission in Tasmania any retrospectivity!
