Why is it, Tasmanians repeatedly hear the cry - “fox scat, fox scat” at times that suit?

According to FEP own deductions these fox scats are coming from the collective anuses of several resident Tasmanian foxes - both males and females - yet so far they only leave their faecal calling cards.

Since 2005 fox faeces have been recovered across Tasmania but still no foxes caught on camera; no fox carcasses recovered from 1080 poisoned baits; no foxes shot or live trapped.

Somewhere there are 2 feral cats and a fox anus, running around crapping through it, having the time of their lives.
