Just for interest, here’s the result of some research I’ve been doing that organises global countries by the approximate time that it would take to repay their debts. Figures I used were from CIA World Factbook using External debt as the amount, population, productivity of each person as a $/yr figure fraction of GDP. I divided the debt by the population to get a debt per person figure. Then I divided that figure by the productivity per person. The chart shows how countries stack up by how long it would take to repay their debts without adding any interest charges.
