Ms Dopson is married to Nicholas Heyward, general manager of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.

Handmark was established by Pat Cleveland, an influential pioneer in encouraging and promoting high quality design in Tasmanian crafts and a pivotal figure in the development of the arts in the state.

Ms Dopson will take over the gallery’s lease within the Salamanca Arts Centre complex of buildings, and has bought the name, stock and goodwill.
