On a more serious note, it is interesting to contemplate who actually pulled Milne’s G-string and why.

Was it really Zander as KRudd is suggesting? Was it that Zander was jealous that his fishnets were finally being upstaged by KRudd’s half hour of embarrassed debauchery?

Or was it perhaps that Milne, a well known Costello mouthpiece was sent out to distract the chattering classes from the increasing tangled web Pouting Pete was enmeshing himself in when denying he ever had said whatever he did?

Guess we will never know.

It was an alignment of the planets:
1. The Libs can’t take a trick (to coin a phrase)
2. Rudd and Howard addressed the Christian lobby and the Libs were shocked to see a straw poll indicate a ratio of 5:4:1 support for Rudd:Howard:Undecided.
3. Rudd insulted Alexander in Parliament by addressing Gareth Evans as a Foreign Minister with experience.
4. Costello was after a distraction from his own nakedness.

And, of course, there is the usual Sergeant Schultz disclaimer from all and sundry.
