If Irwin Rommel was the Desert Fox,what does this little lot make Kon Ridtler? The Franklin Fox? Quite franklinly, I don’t give a fox. Ridicule is the only weapon left in the armoury of disapproval.

A retired senior Tasmanian copper came to see me recently; he was flummoxed.

Dave, why are there so many free-range chooks and ducks across Tasmania and populations of breeding black swans happly living in Tasmania if we have foxes in Tasmania?

I told him to ask the same question to the government fox eradicators because I’m almost certain they have the answer.

Dear Paulie [comment #4], I don’t make up the stories about who kills what in Tasmania.

You’ll find numerous references in the Fox Taskforce’s propaganda stating that foxes are killers of poultry and native ground-nesting birds.
