Can someone please tell me who the owner of Gunns is/are?

I have searched through share market information and all online information that I can find and I still do not know who the owner of the company is.

I had some suspicion that the Mitsubishi corporation was involved, but I cannot confirm this.

“The pulp mill project has divided the Tasmanian community significantly and we believe that the divisions should not last for too much longer.”

This will only happen if the people of Tasmania prove to be “bigger” people than the politicians who have created the divisions.

From whichever side of the fence you happen to find yourself on, Tasmanian community relations have most definitely taken a beating - this usually happens when government is perceived to place more importance on the interests of one group of people over another.

Oh dear, Mr Bartlett’s got his thongs on again and is flip-flopping all over he place!

#1. John Gay owns a chunk. Other directors own some.  I believe Honey Bacon has some shares, but the big players are ANZ, the Commonwealth Bank and Perpetual Trustees….. the money people, who frankly, don’t give a damn!
