Excellent analysis Anthony John. What you have described reminds me precisely of the way Burke of WA Inc notoriety courted those corporate reptiles Bond, Connell, Dempster et al. What was the system Burke used called - corporatism? Crony capitalism? A democratically elected govt ‘using’ the private sector to allegedly produce infrastructure and development for the supposed gain of the people of WA, by way of a system of patronage that ensures ultimately that the people’s interests are trashed in the name of profits for a few?
