The Tasmanian Greens today accused Premier David Bartlett of resorting to desperate tactics to avoid answering serious questions over his failed attempt to appoint Mr Richard McCreadie as Interim Police Commissioner, and whether he has misled the Tasmanian Parliament.

In farcical scenes in Parliament today the Premier effectively sought to argue that black was white. His assertions that he didn’t mislead the House over this matter in the face of evidence to the contrary are nothing short of embarrassing.
