very interesting Jane - but isn’t this Tasmanian Times… as a cynic, (and a super one at that) I’m just not sure of the relevance of your post to a site which is dedicated to Tasmanian discussion and debate… we’re all ex pats to a degree Jane, and many of us have actually used our passports…and thanks to the foresight of the young entrepeneurs at Google, are more than aware, if we care to be, of world events…perhaps we should invite all those who have lived in Tasmania, to contribute from wherever they are in the world, right now, on whatever seems relevant to them, off the cuff, I know of a few that are working voluntarily around the world on development projects, purely for the sake of improving the lot of their fellow humans beings - isn’t your posting simply advertising Tehleka which has its own legitimate community of interest - or is there someone out there you are trying to impress?

I disagree that my post is simply advertising Tehelka or my own bi-line for that matter, nor am I trying to impress anyone although you sound really thrilled about the idea of a new democratic constitution for the utterly besieged state of Nepal, so I’m glad I’ve cheered up your day… Surely its up to the editor of Tas Times to publish what interests him and his readers? Its his perogative…but from what you’re saying, my posts from far and wide don’t belong on Tas Times because they’re from, uhm far and wide - or at least, not welcome by you super synic, although fortunately the editor has a broader slightly more engaged range of interests in the universe outside our island…I think your’s is a rather narrow view of the experience of Tasmanians in today’s world and of what interests us and an even more myopic view of why Tasmanian Times exists in the first place…you are entitled to your opinions, but why don’t you sign your name if you’re so serious about who should be allowed to say what from which part of the world, on Tasmanian Times?
