YOU   might remember back in June when I was lying in Alotau Hospital feeling sore (infected leg) and elated (that would have been the pethidine). Dr Aiyaker asked me if I could help get some much needed equipment for the Surgery Ward. Since returning to Australia Expeditionclass.com has raised a healthy $820 for the hospital. This will be forwarded to Chris Abel in Alotau to present to the hospital. If you would like to help us crack the $1000 mark, please make your last minute donation through the website using the little donation button on the home page . All donations received by this method over the next 14 days will go 100% to the hospital. Alternatively you can contact me directly for other payment methods. I’d especially like to thank Campbell Street Primary, Granny Grace, and Christine Dennis for significant personal contributions. Very much appreciated.

And just quickly, the preparations for next year’s 8in8in8 journey are gathering speed. UTAS SET have reconfirmed their commitment to adventure learning by coming aboard as sponsors yet again. If you (as a teacher or school community), or your organisation (as a sponsor) want to get involved, feel free to drop me a line.
