God I needed that laugh! Everything before it was sooooo depressing. Especially so because it’s all true.  Just needed a break from the sad realities and this did it for me. Thanks.

And why did Bush give Howard and Blair high distinction medals as a departing shot as he goes out the back door himself?

Well, he’s a failed president. He has to make a statement that he didn’t do it alone. He had two willing allies as accomplices.  They each egged each other along.

He needs to make this strong statement because he wants to share the blame of his gross military and foreign affairs debacles.

The last thing he wants is for his presidential legacy to lay claim to to all that bloodshed on his own hands.

And for once I think Bush is correct. Howard should be formally attributed his share of the blame. Bush’s legacy is Howard’s legacy.
