Excellent read - can TT denizens identify other great Tasmanians living elsehwere currently. I can think of the author, commentator and academic, Peter Conrad. And the author, Christopher J Koch.

You could visit Mr Koch at his Richmond home where he has been ensconced for at least two years.

But I do agree, he does qualify.

As someone who aspired, in early youth, to persuing Astronomy as a career (even doing 2 years of physics at Uni, before transfering over to the life sciences as, at the time, there were more employment prospects in this field in Australia) I am proud of the number of great astronomers Australia has produced, and for their work to be recognised & honoured by their international peers.
